Surprisingly, to me at least, I've read a lot of people on other forums say Spider-Man could beat naruto. I haven't seen most of naruto but I think have a good idea of how strong he is and I always thought naruto could obliterate Spider-Man. But I've read some people say otherwise

I'll use base versions of current incarnation.

Spider-Man got the advantage in every category here. Physical strength, durability, and speed. The only way I see Naruto beating him is a point blank hit with Rasenshuriken, but that's not happening here.

I mean it depends. If you use chunin exams I can see spiderman out jousting a lot of the genin out there. Put him in the war arc and he won't even be able to see what's going on.

Spider-Man and Genin cannot be put in one sentence. Ever.

He's more powerful than Base Naruto, who would literally oneshot half of the armies of this war. It also depends on which incarnation of Spider-Man too.

Early in the comic book, Spider-Man dodged projectiles coming at him at 4500 meters per second (stated), and with ease.

Also mid way in the series, or something, he survived a bomb exploding right at his face. Said bomb turned the whole building into nothing but rubble. He was still capable of getting up. He also supported the daily bugle building (which is f***ing huge) from falling, he supported one of the few beams of it. Still, it would require a lot of power to do so.

That's still BASE Spider-Man.

This may be from just ignorance, but how the heck can Spider-man withstand an building busting explosion point blank to the face but not be bullet proof?

Presumably his Spider Sense gave him time to brace in some fashion so as to not die in the explosion. Of course, it could always be "Comic Physics BS" as well.

Base Spiderman might have trouble fighting Naruto but Super Saiyan Spiderman is in the top percentile.

Just kidding. I suppose it depends which Spiderman fights against whatever aged Naruto. If it was a Naruto from later in the series then he would probably beat Spiderman, but if it was like... Venom/Carnage Spiderman then Naruto might lose.

I still don't see how even symbiote Spider-Man can fend against nuke sized explosions from naruto

The section rules say: 2. Versus topics that are ridiculous or one-sided will be closed at staff discretion.

Therefore if it's that one sided surely this topic should be closed, unless of course there is some argument you can produce that legitimises the chances of Spiderman actually having a chance of winning.

Yes, Bex has a point. To make this debatable we should restrict Naruto to a point where Spiderman can have a chance to fight back.

What about Base Naruto vs Current Spiderman with no prep time?

Well the thing is, before all this, I thought it was a one sided fight like I said. But after reading a lot of people say otherwise, I just wanted to make sure with you guys.

EDIT: what Big Zam said above me. If a mod wants, change the title to base naruto vs current Spider-Man

Post sage mode Naruto is entering into DBZ levels, while Spidey is somewhere within the DB realm. If we restrict to base, we at least remove most of his advantages which sort of start becoming retarded at a certain point (tossing a near mountain sized rhino into space).

Even genin in the chunin exam were shown to have very high speeds (appear and reappear like in DB/Z). The sound 4, Saskue, and Lee were shown to be able to beat the speed of sound as genin themselves. Spidey is more of a real world hero like batman where you can actually have real life counter parts with special effects play their part. The comics have him stronger but not to some absurd degree unless you play the cherry picking game. Personally I don't see him making if far in HST (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece).

Aren't all superhero movies just 'real-life counterparts with special effects'?

Also, Spidey is nothing like Bruce Wayne. Bruce has no superpowers; Peter Parker has many. He has superhuman strength, speed, durability, stamina etc, unlike Batman who just has reallygoodhuman physical attributes. He can also 'stick to' and climb walls. Plus the webbing.

Yeah but what I mean is that you could actually turn him into a movie character. There are some that simply will never work (ie Goku, Dragonball Evolution) since the powers are meant to be outrageous. And I guess you're right with batman, it was a bad comparison.

There are more suits of Spider-Man than what you think ever.

There's his Iron Suit, which he used to combat and defeat Iron Man, even though Iron Man had something that made Spidey weak if he fought him. Spidey had a passcode to disable that. Iron Man was impressed.

I'm going to talk about other incarnations of Spider-Man later.
